Werner Klingler

Werner Klingler (born June 10, 1970 ) is a German anesthetist . He is senior physician at the Neurosurgical University Clinic Ulm-Günzburg . His primary areas of expertise are fascia research and malignant hyperthermia .

Career

Klingler grew up in Neu-Ulm , where he graduated from the Bertha-von-Suttner-Gymnasium in 1989 . From 1990 to 1997 he studied medicine at the University of Ulm and at King's College in London , then he received his doctorate in 1999. From 2007 to 2011 he worked as a specialist in anesthesiology at the Ulm University Clinic, from 2011 to 2018 as a senior physician in the field of neuroanesthesia at the Neurosurgical University Clinic Ulm-Günzburg and from 2018 as head physician at the Clinic for Anesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pain Therapy at the SRH Clinics in the Sigmaringen district.

After his habilitation in 2010, the medical faculty of Ulm University appointed him professor in 2016 . In the same year awarded him Queensland University of Technology from a visiting professor in Australia.

Klingler became known beyond the professional circles through his popular science lectures and his presence in the media as an expert on the subject of fascia .
