Werner Premauer

Werner Premauer (born July 27, 1912 in Berlin ; †  November 6, 1996 in Miesbach ) was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bayerische Vereinsbank, now Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG .

After studying law in Würzburg from 1930 to 1933 and Innsbruck from 1933 to 1935, he first became a lawyer in Nuremberg. After joining Bayerische Vereinsbank in 1939, he was promoted to director in Nuremberg in 1951.

In 1959 he became a board member in Munich and president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria . He was involved in the merger of the Vereinsbank with the Bayerische Staatsbank AG as well as in the participation of the Vereinsbank in the Central European International Bank AG Budapest in 1979. In 1976 he was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board .
