Werner Röhrich

Werner Röhrich (born July 31, 1929 in Rheinkamp ; † November 22, 2003 ) was a German politician and honorary district administrator ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, he completed an apprenticeship and worked as a miner from 1949 to 1953 . From 1953 to 1961 Röhrich was youth secretary for the Socialist Youth of Germany “ Die Falken ”, district association Moers. In 1961 Werner Röhrich became union secretary of the ÖTV and from 1971 managing director of the Niederrhein district administration, an office that he held until 1989. He was married and had three daughters.

In the council of the municipality Rheinkamp he was represented from 1956 to 1959. He was a member of the district council of the former district of Moers from November 27, 1964 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974. From 1975 to 1994 Röhrich was a member of the district council of the Wesel district , whose district administrator he was from May 22, 1975 to 1994.

From 1981 to 1984 he was a member of the landscape assembly of the regional association Westphalia-Lippe . He was also active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Werner Röhrich was the recipient of the Christian Eberle Medal, the highest award of the savings bank organization. 1976 Röhrich was the donkey Order of the city Wesel awarded on the grounds that he had let himself be carried away to the asinine statement that one can not take seriously Wesel as the county seat.
