Werner Richwien
Werner Richwien (born July 23, 1944 in Lengenfeld unterm Stein , Mühlhausen i. Th. District ) is a German geotechnician .
Werner Richwien completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith before attending an engineering school and studying civil engineering at the Technical University of Hanover . In 1976 he was awarded a Dr.-Ing. doctorate and later also habilitated there. In 1994 he took over the professorship for foundation engineering and soil mechanics at the University of Essen . His research areas included, in particular, dikes , sheet piling and offshore structures . In 2009, Richwien retired.
Since 2007, Richwien has been one of the managing directors of Prof. Dr. Ing. Victor Rizkallah + Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH in Hanover .
Richwien lives in Hannover-Linden .
