Werner Spanehl

Werner Spanehl (* 1923 ; † 1992 ) was a German trade unionist , journalist and civil servant .

Life

From 1959 at the latest he was editor-in-chief of the Deutsche Post , the newspaper of the Deutsche Postgewerkschaft . Around 1964 he also worked as a public relations officer for the union. He also worked as a journalist for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Aufwärts , the youth magazine of the German Federation of Trade Unions .

As in December 1969 Kurt Gscheidle , the deputy chairman of the union, as a civil servant State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications moved, he was succeeded Spanehl and was press secretary of the Ministry. In October 1975 he was appointed President of the Oberpostdirektion Kiel and in February 1980 he moved to the Oberpostdirektion Hamburg , which he was responsible for until at least August 1985.
