Werner Tenbruck (born November 13, 1941 in Wesel ) is a former German soccer player .

career

Werner Tenbruck went through the youth department of VfR 06 Neuss and was part of the team that won the title in the Lower Rhine amateur league for the green-whites in the 1965/66 season. In the promotion round, the team from the stadium on Hammer Landstrasse prevailed against Hammer SpVg , SSV Hagen and Bonner SC and were promoted to the Football Regionalliga West.

In the first season Neuss finished eighth and in 1968 twelfth place. The striker made his debut in the Regionalliga West on October 9, 1966 in the home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the right wing position. From 1966 to 1968 Tenbruck played 57 league games and scored twelve goals alongside teammates Klaus Schonz , Josef Kokesch and Ulrich Kohn . An outstanding game was the 5-4 home win on August 13, 1967 against Fortuna Düsseldorf , where Tenbruck was also active as a right winger. In 1968 he joined Alemannia Aachen , where he played in the Bundesliga until 1970 . Werner Tenbruck played 34 Bundesliga games and scored three goals there. The greatest success was reaching second place in the Bundesliga in 1969 with Alemannia Aachen, when he made seven appearances under coach Michael Pfeiffer alongside Roger Claessen , Ion Ionescu , Herbert Gronen and Hans-Josef Kapellmann . He rose with the runner-up in 1969 in the following round in 1969/70 as bottom of the table from the Bundesliga and completed 27 games in this round and scored three goals. With the relegated Bundesliga he came in 1970/71 in the Regionalliga West in sixth place. He had been active in 29 games and scored one goal. In the summer of 1971 he joined Limburgia Limbourg.
