Werner Van Cleemput

Werner Van Cleemput (born July 14, 1930 in Sint-Niklaas , † June 20, 2006 in Waasmunster ) was a Belgian composer .

Life

Werner Van Cleemput completed studies at the Academy in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, in the Halewijnstichting in Antwerp in the subjects of music education and music for young people and at the Institute for Psycho-Acoustic and Electronic Music in Ghent . He completed his studies with a diploma in violin and chamber music and as a music teacher. Although he followed private lectures with Karel Goeyvaerts in composition and music theory, he primarily continued his self-taught education as a composer.
