Wes is a World Music - duo , consisting of the former member of Deep Forest , Michel Sanchez , and the Cameroonian singer Wes Madiko there. Madiko moved to France with his parents as a child .

music

Their music is a mixture of folk and dance , with lyrics in Duala and English . They had their biggest hit in 1997 and 1998 with Alane (choreographed by Mia Frye ). The single was particularly successful in Europe , in Germany it reached number two in the charts , in Austria and France it was a number one hit . The single I Love Football (Midiwa bol) made it into the European charts a second time , this time to middle positions.
