Wesselin Minew ( Bulgarian Веселин Минев , English transcription Veselin Minev; born October 14, 1980 in Pazardzhik ) is a Bulgarian football player who plays for Levski Sofia . His position is the defense.
Career
Wesselin Minew began his career with Hebar Pazardzhik, where he played in the first team from 1999 to 2001. In 2001 he left the club and moved to Belasiza Petritsch . In 2004 Minew moved to Botew Plovdiv and since 2006 he has played with Levski Sofia. During his time at Levski he was twice champion (2007, 2009), once cup winner (2007) and twice Supercup winner (2007, 2009).
Minew has played four times for Bulgaria so far. He made his debut for the national team on October 10, 2009 against Cyprus . Minew played through. The game in Larnaka was lost 1: 4.
Minew has been playing for Antalyaspor in Turkey since the 2011/12 season . In his first season he quickly gained a regular place here and played a total of 25 league games. The second season he was mostly on the bench. Three match days before the winter break of the 2012/13 season, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.
