The Hong Kong West Kowloon Station , abbreviated to WKS ( Chinese  西 九龍 站  /  西 九龙 站 , Pinyin Xī Jiǔlóngzhàn , Jyutping Sai 1 Gau 2 lung 6 zaam 6 , short: 西 九 站 , Xījiǔzhàn , Jyutping Sai 1 gau 2 zaam 6 ) on the The Kowloon Peninsula is the terminus of the Guangzhou – Shenzhen – Hong Kong high-speed line in Hong Kong . The facility had been under construction since 2010 and opened in September 2018. During the construction phase it was initially referred to as the West Kowloon Terminus .

West Kowloon Station is the only station in the Hong Kong SAR that has been connected to the Chinese network of high-speed lines . The station is located underground and is connected to the Chinese mainland by a 26-kilometer-long tunnel . The station occupies an area of ​​11 hectares. In addition to 15 tracks on 11 platforms, the border controls of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the People's Republic of China are also located in the station. The MTR Corporation anticipates first year of operation with a daily 99,000 passengers. 400,000 square meters of commercial space will be arranged above the train station under a 45-meter-high walk-on roof that will serve as a viewing terrace.

The facility is located on Victoria Harbor immediately north of the planned West Kowloon Cultural District . Next to the station is the Kowloon Station of the Airport Express on the west side and the Austin Station of the West Rail Line of the Kowloon-Canton Railway on the east side . The latter was called West Kowloon Station during the planning and construction .
