The Westphalian Chamber of Notaries is a corporation under public law in which the notaries from the district of the Hamm Higher Regional Court are organized and which represents their interests as a professional chamber. The chamber is located on Ostenallee in Hamm, Westphalia .
The chamber district includes the district courts of Arnsberg , Bielefeld , Bochum , Detmold , Dortmund , Essen , Hagen , Münster , Paderborn and Siegen, the entire Westphalian part of North Rhine-Westphalia. As of January 1, 2017, the Chamber of Notaries had 1,472 members. The members are lawyer notaries , i. In other words, they exercise the public notarial office alongside the profession of lawyer .
