What About Today? is a music album by Barbra Streisand .
history
Barbra Streisand had mainly devoted herself to film work since the filming of Funny Girl and was much less in the studio to record new songs than in the years at the beginning of her singing career. For the first time, there were almost two years between two productions. With What About Today? Barbra Streisand changed her repertoire of jazz standards and musical songs and expanded it to include interpretations of current pop songs. However, this change did not bring the desired mainstream success . The album only reached 31st place in the USA as the highest position in the album charts. The cover photo was taken from a series of photos by photographer Richard Avedon for Vogue magazine in 1968.
