Wheelsandmore Tuning

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Wheelsandmore GmbH & Co. KG is a German company for vehicle tuning and refinement and produced as a DIN ISO certified manufacturer multi-part rims at its headquarters in Baesweiler . The tuner offers refinement programs for: AstonMartin , Audi , Bentley , BMW , Ferrari , Jaguar , Lamborghini , Maserati , McLaren , Mercedes-AMG , Nissan and Tesla .

history

The company was founded in 1999 by Dirk Bergstein, who sold the company to Sebastian Dohmen in 2016. In 2005 the company headquarters was relocated from Würselen to Baesweiler in order to be able to meet the growing demand for handcrafted rims.

Initially, the manufacturer offered three-piece rims in small series from 13 inches measuring for show and racing purposes. In the course of time, the rims got bigger and bigger, so that since 2010 Wheelsandmore only produces rims from 20-22 inches.

In 2007, the company first appeared at the Essen Motor Show with a spectacular and opulent conversion of a Mercedes-Benz CLS55AMG called White Label, which presented milled forged wheels with countless Swarovski stones. To date, this type of rim refinement has remained unique in Germany, as every drilling point had to be precisely drilled and programmed for every stone of different sizes. The programming effort for the CNC machining alone took 300 working hours. The price of the sparkling set of rims was 30,000 EURO in 2008 and is thus the most expensive set of rims with TÜV approval ever produced in Germany.

In 2008 the tuner presented a detailed conversion of a Shelby GT500, known from the film Just 60 seconds with Nicolas Cage for a well-known football player.

Since then, Wheelsandmore has been repeatedly commissioned with special and individual projects and has also refined very rare specimens:

In 2010 Wheelsandmore was the first tuner worldwide to offer a tuning program for the Audi R8GT, which was limited to 333 pieces .

In the same year, the tuner surprised with the Ultrasports 702 conversion of the top version of the Bentley Continental Supersports, which has also been untouched to date .

Also in 2015 the move to today's branch in the Bauhaus style with around 2000 m² of operating space took place.

Wheelsandmore's supercars include a .:

  • AUDI RS6 CS with turbocharger upgrade and exhaust components to 820 PS and 980 N m
  • Lamborghini Huracan Lucifero with compressor kit and 850 hp and 730 Nm torque

Field of activity

Wheelsandmore produces its own wheel designs from 20-22 inches in three-part construction. The raw parts come exclusively from Germany and are assembled by hand in the main factory. The company is TÜV certified and is the only manufacturer in Germany to offer forged multi-piece rims. The tuning programs are completed by flap exhaust systems, performance enhancements and chassis solutions.
