The apartment building -Paar Wibbeltstraße 5-6 on the corner of Wanner Straße in Herne-Wanne is a listed building. It was built in 1928 according to a design by the architect Heinrich Cordt, who also acted as the builder together with Wilhelm Cordt .
description
The four-storey building with nine to three axes under a uniform hipped roof consists of two self-contained residential buildings. The facades are clad with clinker bricks and show stylistic elements of brick expressionism . While only three rows of windows structure the facade on Wanner Straße, the main front on Wibbeltstraße is given a special accentuation by the stairwells protruding like a risky piece. The ground floor and the window frame are emphasized by protruding clinker bricks.
The entry of the double house Wibbeltstrasse 5-6 in the list of monuments of the city of Herne took place on January 9, 1991 (monument no. A 156).
