Wilhelm Gustav Rudolf Wichard Rochus von Rochow (born February 4, 1848 on Gut Golzow , Zauch-Belzig district ; † May 1, 1921 in Berlin ) was a landowner and Prussian politician.

family

Wichard came from a Brandenburg aristocratic family that originally came from Switzerland and moved towards Brandenburg in the 11th century to besiege the Wends resident there . So the noble family got their first property in the Mark, the place Rochow . He was the son of the landowner on Golzow Rudolf von Rochow (1803-1870) and his wife Sidonie, née von Goerne (1816-1882).

Rochow married Gabriele von Pachelbl-Gehag on December 18, 1880 in Dresden (* October 23, 1860 at Gut Zimkendorf ; † December 5, 1933 at Gut Golzow), the daughter of the Prussian major and chamberlain Carl von Pachelbl-Gehag, landlord on Gehag , Zimkendorf and Borgwall, and Countess Marie von Seydewitz from the house of Pülswerda . The couple had four daughters.

Life

Rochow was the landlord on Golzow ( called in family ownership since the 12th century ) and Grüneiche with Desmathen and Müggenburg (all now districts of Golzow). He was a Prussian major, legal knight of the Order of St. John and member of the Prussian manor house for life.
