Widerøefjellet is a massive 3180 m high mountain in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It rises between the mountains Walnumfjella and Nils Larsenfjellet in the mountains of Sør Rondane .
Norwegian cartographers mapped the mountain in 1946 using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . It is named after Viggo Widerøe (1904–2002), a pilot on this expedition. Another mapping by Norwegian cartographers took place in 1957 using aerial photographs taken from the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
