How do you build a bomb? is the first mixtape or prealbum by the Munich rapper Ali As on Deluxe Records . It was released on June 22, 2007 with Groove Attack. It marks the beginning of the so-called bomb trilogy . Two releases followed, in 2008 the mixtape The Countdown is running and in October 2008 the album Bomb ended .

backgrounds

The first and only single, Fick Was Du Denksteen , was released on June 14, 2007.

The mixtape / prealbum was originally supposed to serve as a harbinger for the 2006 studio album Geld, I Have a Bomb . Ali As decided, however, to prefer another mixtape to the album, so that on May 16, 2008 The Countdown is on with many features from Eko Fresh , Frauenarzt and Tony D appeared. In August 2008, the debut album titled Bomb was announced through Deluxe Records for October 17th . It finally appeared after another postponement on October 24, 2008.

Reviews

On the website generation-one.de , the mixtape gets four out of a possible six points. The critic justifies this among other things with the "punchlines, beats and good comparisons". Ali As proves that when it comes to comparisons, "few people can compete with him". The “professionalism and impressive quality” of the mixtape deserves recognition.

According to hamburghiphop.de , Ali As does not manage to “develop a correct profile” despite “good lines and lots of funny comparisons”. The rapper's flow “reminds me of Snaga and Pillath”. Nevertheless, the journalist Frederik Caselitz finds the beats of the mixtape “professional” and “suitable for singles”. Furthermore, Ali As is at a "high level" when it comes to rapping, so that the mixtape gets three out of a possible five stars.
