Wiebke Drenckhan (born April 6, 1977 in Bad Belzig ) is a German physicist . She conducts research in solid state physics .

Life

After studying physics and mathematical physics at the University of Rostock , the Technical University Berlin and the Humboldt University in Berlin , she went to the University of Canterbury , Christchurch , New Zealand for a year . From 2001 to 2004 his doctorate her to PhD at Trinity College in Dublin on Stabilité et mouvement of mousses dans un environnement Confine (stability and movement of mosses in cramped conditions). She has two children.

Awards

  • In 2013 she received the Prix Irène Joliot-Curie in the young female scientist category.
  • In 2015 she received the CNRS bronze medal.
