The Wierlauke nature reserve is located in the municipality of Lippetal in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends south of the core town of Lippborg . The state road L 795 and the B 475 run north and the Lippe flows, while the Ahse flows south . To the east, directly adjacent, extends the 195.5 hectare Ahsewiesen (LP) nature reserve .
