The Wignall Peak is a 1,302 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the eastern Porthos Range of the Prince Charles Mountains, it rises immediately west of Mount McCarthy .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 and 1965 were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after R. Michael Wignall, a weather observer at Davis Station in 1964.
