The Maja e Cukalit is the second highest peak in the Cukali highlands in northern Albania . The 1732  m above sea level. A. high mountain lies east of Shkodra . The slightly higher Maja e Meqithit ( 1734  m above sea level ) rises around two kilometers to the northeast .

In the summit area, the Maja e Cukalit drops steeply, especially to the southwest. Individual villages are scattered further to the west and south on terraces. In the north lies the deeply cut valley of the Kir , in the south the valley of the Drin, which is not so deeply cut here .

A road leads up to 1400  m above sea level. A. and around the mountain to the flat field of Fusha e Liqenit on the east side of the mountain.
