Wigratzbad is a church village in the municipality of Opfenbach in the Lindau district and part of the Westallgäu region .

Place of prayer

In Wigratzbad there is a Catholic place of prayer with a retreat house . After a private revelation by Antonie Rädler in a small chapel ("Gnadenkapelle"), the place of prayer gradually developed up to the construction of the Atonement Church in modern red steel architecture (architect Gottfried Böhm ). In Wigratzbad the Mother of God is venerated under the attribute of Our Lady of Victory ; the Church of Atonement is consecrated to the most sacred hearts of Jesus and Mary. The mortal remains of Antonie Rädler and the long-time pilgrim chaplain Father Johannes Schmid CP, who has a reputation for holiness, rest in their own crypt.

In addition to the seminary , Wigratzbad is also the seat of the German district of the St. Petrus Society . The station K-TV is also based here.
