Viktor Nikolajewitsch Liina ( Russian Виктор Николаевич Лиина ; born June 19, 1968 in Pechory , Pskov Oblast ) is a Russian rear admiral . From October 2012 to October 2014 he commanded the group of Northeastern Troops and Armed Forces of Russia in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and has been Chief of Staff of the Black Sea Fleet since May 2016 .

Life

Liina graduated from high school in 1985. In 1990 he graduated from the Naval War College for Submariners Lenin Komsomol and in 1996 higher officer courses in the Russian naval fleet . He graduated from the Naval War Academy NG Kuznetsov in 2006 with distinction . Liina served on nuclear submarines in the Northern Fleet as chief engineer, group commander, first officer and commander. He was first used as chief of staff and then as commander of a nuclear submarine division . On August 9, 2012, he was appointed Rear Admiral by decree of the President of the Russian Federation. On December 3, 2010 he was used as the commander of the White Sea Naval Base.

Liina became the commander of the Group of Northeastern Troops and Armed Forces of Russia on October 14, 2012 by Decree No. 1366 of the President of the Russian Federation. From October 2014 he attended the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in Moscow, which he graduated in 2016. His previous duties were taken on by order No. 680 of the Russian Defense Ministry on October 2, 2014, by sea captain Sergei Lipilin . In May 2016, Liina was deployed as Chief of Staff of the Black Sea Fleet.
