Viktor Saizew
Viktor Saizew ( Russian Виктор Зайцев , English transcription Viktor Zaytsev ; born June 6, 1966 in Tashkent ) is a former Uzbek javelin thrower .
Starting for the Soviet Union , he won silver at the 1990 European Athletics Championships in Split, but did not get beyond the preliminary round at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo the following year . Also at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, where he was part of the United Team , as well as representing Uzbekistan at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart and 1995 in Gothenburg , he was eliminated from the qualification.
He won bronze at the Asian Games in 1994 and silver at the 1995 Asian Athletics Championships. He set his best length of 87.20 m on June 23, 1992 in Moscow .
