Wiktorija Wiktorowna Kalinina ( Russian Виктория Викторовна Калинина ; English spelling Victoriya Kalinina ; born December 8, 1988 in Maikop ) is a Russian handball player .

Career

Viktorija Kalinina played for GK 53 Moscow until 2009 . Then the goalkeeper Zvezda Zvenigorod joined, with whom she won the Russian Cup in 2010 and 2011. In 2013 she signed a contract with GK Kuban Krasnodar . In February 2015 she switched to the Astrakhanotschka GK . With Astrakhanochka, she won the Russian championship in 2016. She then returned to Kuban Krasnodar. In the 2018/19 season she took a pregnancy-related break. She has been under contract with GK Rostov-on-Don since summer 2020 .

Kalinina runs for the Russian national team . She won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In the first round game against South Korea , Kalinina was substituted on in the second half at a 13:20 deficit and then held 69 percent of the throws, helping her national team to a 30:25 success. At the 2019 World Cup , she won the bronze medal with the Russian selection.
