The game hill with 525.3  u m. NHN the third highest mountain of the Kermeter belonging to the Rureifel . It is located near Gemünd and Hasenfeld in the North Rhine-Westphalian districts of Euskirchen and Düren ( Germany ).

Geographical location

Within the Rureifel , which is part of the North Eifel , the venison hill rises between the Rursee and the Urftsee in the Eifel National Park . Its highest point is located in the extreme north of the urban area of Schleiden in the district Gemünd , with the majority already for the city of Heimbach with the same district and the nearby district Heimbacher hare field belongs.

Numerous hiking and biking trails open up the venison hill and give a view of the Rursee and its surrounding forests. Since the Eifel National Park was founded, a number of hiking trails on the venison hill have been closed to create quiet zones for animals and plants.
