Nordeifel is a geographically well-defined name for a northern part of the Eifel , a low mountain range in North Rhine-Westphalia , Rhineland-Palatinate and eastern Belgium . Usually some or all of the following areas are meant:

All of these areas belong to the Hohes Venn-Eifel nature reserve .

The high moor of the High Fens is something special ; the plateau of the High Fens has been on the Belgian list of proposals for UNESCO World Heritage since 2008 . The Eifeler Seenplatte with the second largest dam in Germany, the Rurtalsperre , is located in the middle of the northern Eifel .

The term Nordeifel is often used as part of the name of institutions that are based in this area. So z.
