The Wildsee is a natural body of water with bog in the Estergebirge without any notable above-ground inflows or outflows, embedded in the Wildseetal .
It can be reached from Eschenlohe via the Walchenseer Steig or from the Walchensee as a mountain hike.
The Wildsee lies in the area of the alpine plate limestone , which tends to karstification. Marking attempts between 1967 and 1973 proved that the Wildseetal, unlike the Michelfeld above, does not drain underground towards the Loisach valley, but towards the Walchensee.
