The Wildstein barracks in Traben-Trarbach ( Rhineland-Palatinate ) was a property of the Bundeswehr , in which the main telecommunications command, Deutsche NALLA, and parts of the Office for Defense Geophysics were housed.

history
The barracks go back to Haus Wildstein, which was built in 1912/13 in Art Nouveau style as a craftsmen's rest home . During the First World War it served as a reserve hospital. In the Weimar Republic it was used again as a craftsmen's rest home and later, in the Third Reich, as a rest home for officials and as a Gau school. During the Second World War it was used as a hospital again and after the war it was confiscated by the French armed forces. From the late 1950s to the 1980s, the house was the headquarters of the main telecommunications command of the German Armed Forces. In 2001 part of the property was auctioned for 200,000 German marks . In 2006 the remainder of the property, which was just under one hectare in size, was sold.
