Wilfried Jacobs

Wilfried Jacobs (born January 14, 1944 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former president of Borussia Mönchengladbach and former chairman of the board of the AOK for Rhineland / Hamburg .

Life

Jacobs received his training from April 1, 1958 at the guild health insurance fund in Mönchengladbach. He then came to the AOK regional association in Düsseldorf in 1970, where he became association manager in 1991. From 1983 he lived in the Korschenbroich district of Pesch . From January 1, 1996 to June 29, 2012, he was the full-time chairman of the board of AOK Rheinland. Since July 2, 2012, he has been the managing director of the Institute for Patient-Oriented Care Process Research, which he founded. The non-profit company based in Neuss is supported by the Berthold Beitz Foundation , among others . Furthermore, in 2014 Wilfried Jacobs founded a similar foundation called "PADI - Patient Orientation Direct".

From October 1, 1997 to September 8, 1999 he was president of the Borussia Mönchengladbach soccer club. For professional reasons he asked the association's committees to be released from his position. He was succeeded by the then Vice President Adalbert Jordan .
