Wilfried Weiland

Wilfried Weiland (born January 18, 1944 in Schneidemühl ; † December 10, 2017 ) was a German athlete who - starting for the GDR - won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 1966 with the 4 x 400 meter relay (3: 05.7 min, together with Jochen Both , Günter Klann and Michael Zerbes ). In the 400-meter run of these European championships, he finished fourth with a new GDR record of 46.6 s.

Wilfried Weiland started for the ASK Potsdam , 1966 and 1967 he was GDR champion in the 400-meter run and with the 4-by-400-meter relay. In his active time he was 1.81 m tall and 74 kg heavy.
