Wilhelm Albert Kosmann

Wilhelm Albert Kosmann (born January 18, 1802 in Berlin , † April 26, 1875 in Stettin ; full name Friedrich Wilhelm Albert Kosmann ) was a German lawyer. He was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly and a judge at the Federal Higher Commercial Court .

Life

His father Johann Wilhelm Andreas Kosmann was a philosopher, professor of mathematics and teacher in the cadet corps in Berlin. Wilhelm Albert Kosmann studied law in Berlin from 1821 to 1823 . From 1831 to 1834 he was an assessor at the city court in Stendal , then until 1838 judicial councilor and then director at the city court of Lobsens . Until 1841 he was also the legal advisor and general director of Prince Pückler-Muskau , before he became a higher regional judge in Stettin in 1841 .

In 1848 he was elected to the Frankfurt National Assembly for the 10th constituency of the province of Pomerania ( Stettin -Land), where he joined the casino faction.

In 1861 he was appointed to the Prussian Higher Tribunal in Berlin and in 1870 to the newly founded Federal Higher Commercial Court. In 1874 he retired and settled in Stettin, where he died the following year.
