Johann Wilhelm Andreas Kosmann

Johann Wilhelm Andreas Kosmann (born July 11, 1761 in Frankenberg ; † September 10, 1804 in Köpenick ) was a Prussian philosopher and university professor .

Life

Kosmann began his work as a teacher at the Latin school in Schweidnitz . Here he wrote his first didactic-pedagogical works. In 1790 he received his doctorate in Frankfurt and then became a professor at the Artillery Academy in Berlin. In 1793 he became governor of the aristocratic cadet corps in Berlin and in 1798 assessor at the Kurmärkischen war and domain chamber in Berlin. He was a member of the Societät der Wissenschaften in Frankfurt. In 1799 his job title was Kurmärkischer Kammer- und Forstbauassessor, professor of the artillery academy and the Oberhofbauamt.
