Wilhelm Bahner

Ernst Wilhelm Bahner (born January 23, 1854 in Hermsdorf , † April 5, 1919 in Chemnitz ) was a German entrepreneur and conservative politician .

Bahner had been a partner in the Hermsdorf company founded by his father Wilhelm Friedrich Bahner (1822–1907) and named after him since 1884 . Since 1901 he was the sole owner of the factory, in which jerseys and hosiery were made. From 1905 to 1909 - the end of the three-class right to vote - Bahner was a representative of the 38th rural constituency in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament . He belonged to the Conservative National Association.

His brother Louis Bahner founded in 1888, the company Louis Bahner , which later ELBEO Hosiery GmbH changed its name and was before the Second World War, with 2,800 employees, the largest German hosiery mill. His son Dietrich (1913–1987) was a shoe entrepreneur and politician.
