Wilhelm Behr (District Administrator)

Wilhelm Behr (born April 10, 1904 in Stolberg ; † May 11, 1944 in Hoyerswerda ) was a German district administrator.

Live and act

In 1923 Wilhelm Behr graduated from high school in Stolberg and then worked for Deutsche Bank in Stolberg for two years . From 1925 to 1928 he studied law and was then a court trainee and court assessor . In 1930 he received his doctorate. From May 1933 he was employed by the Berlin district office and was appointed government assessor on December 1, 1933 . In March 1934 he moved to the Merseburg district government and a year later to the Reich Ministry of the Interior .

In the summer of 1936 Behr was employed by the district aid office in Norderney and on September 14, 1936, he was appointed to act as a representative for the administration of the district office in Meschede. Appointed to the government council in April 1937 , he became definitively district administrator of the Meschede district on September 25, 1937 .

In March 1939 he was initially commissioned temporarily with the administration of the district office in Hoyerswerda and after the transfer in September 1939 he was definitely district administrator of the Hoyerswerda district .

In January 1943 he was acting as the vice-president of the Liegnitz district government . He died while on active duty. Behr joined the NSDAP on February 1, 1933 .
