Wilhelm Cornelius Werhahn (born July 25, 1891 in Neuss , † January 29, 1945 in Tröbitz ) was a German entrepreneur .

Werhahn, who came from the Rhenish entrepreneurial family, was sent to Tröbitz by Wilhelm Werhahn in 1924 to manage the Hansa mine. The Hansa mine belonged to the Senftenberg coal works as well as the Meuro lignite mine , which he also managed. The works had been acquired by the Neuss company Wilhelm Werhahn oHG in 1906.

Deeply rooted in the Catholic faith, Wilhelm Cornelius Werhahn and his wife Wilhelma (née von Othegraven ), who was a great niece of the philanthropist Anna Weißebach and who joined the Sacré Cœur as a religious sister after his death , campaigned for the development of a Catholic club in Tröbitz . This also included his commitment to the construction of the Catholic Church of St. Michael in Tröbitz. With the financial support of the Wilhelm Werhahn company, a subsidy from the diocese and collection income, the groundbreaking ceremony finally took place in the summer of 1935. The parish fair took place in September 1935.

The Catholic Church built in Kirchhain in 1908 was also financially supported by Wilhelm Cornelius Werhahn. Werhahn was awarded the papal order of Gregorius in the knight class for his services .
