Wilhelm Friedrich August Hülsemann (born February 27, 1812 in Arnstadt , † August 18, 1862 in Sondershausen ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Hülsemann's father was the government advocate, court and chamber councilor Johann Heinrich Christian Hülsemann (1783–1854). Heinrich's youngest son and Wilhelm's brother Julius Hülsemann became Lord Mayor of Arnstadt (1872–1888). The politician Wilhelm Hülsemann (* 1853) in Sigmaringen was a son of Julius.

After graduating from high school in Arnstadt in 1830 , Wilhelm Hülsemann studied law in Jena and Leipzig . During his studies he became a member of the "Leipziger Burschenschaft " in 1830 and of the " Jenaische Burschenschaft " in 1831 . His membership in the Leipzig Burschenschaft was recorded by the authorities in the Black Book of the Federal Central Authority under No. 758; A corresponding investigation took place in 1836/37.

In 1836 he became a government lawyer and in 1840 a chamber assessor in Arnstadt. From December 10, 1848 to January 22, 1849, a commission under Wilhelm Hülsemann prepared a draft constitution for the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen . Even if Hülsemann took conservative positions, a constitution was created that corresponded to the liberal ideas of the time. In 1850 he was chairman of the III. Department (Finance) of the Ministry in Sondershausen . In 1854 he became a State Councilor , and in 1856 government commissioner for the Thuringian Bank in Sondershausen. Hülsemann was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen for the Conservatives from 1857 to 1859 . In 1860 he was on the board of the agricultural association in Sondershausen. In 1862 he became a Privy Councilor of State .
