Wilhelm Hartmann (lawyer)

Wilhelm Heinrich Eduard Hartmann (born October 3, 1816 in Worbis , † August 30, 1889 in Groß-Lichterfelde near Berlin) was a German lawyer and judge .

Life

Wilhelm Hartmann comes from a family of lawyers from Duderstadt with 17 children. His father Ludwig Karl Hartmann was a legal advisor in Duderstadt and an honorary citizen of Duderstadt and Glogau . One brother was the lawyer Ludwig Hartmann . Hartmann, a Prussian, was sworn in in 1839. In 1844 he became a senior judge. In 1851 he was appointed district judge. He was appointed district court director in 1855. In 1869 he moved from Stargard to Berlin and came to the upper tribunal as an advice . In 1879 he was appointed to the newly founded Imperial Court. He was active in the 4th Civil Senate and the 5th Civil Senate of the Imperial Court . In 1886 he retired.

Wilhelm Hartmann died in Groß-Lichterfelde in 1889 at the age of 72 and was buried in Cemetery I of the Jerusalem and New Churches in Berlin. The grave has not been preserved.
