Wilhelm Hermann Howard
Wilhelm Hermann Howard (born February 6, 1848 in Leipzig ; † January 4, 1919 there ) was a German agricultural economist .
Life
Howard attended the Thomas School in Leipzig until 1867 . He then studied agriculture at the University of Leipzig and received his doctorate in 1873 with the work to reform landwirthschaftlicher profitability calculations for Dr. phil.
In 1872 he founded the first privately operated agricultural accounting office in Germany. From 1887 to 1919 he was an associate professor for agricultural accounting at the Philosophical Faculty in Leipzig. In 1908 he founded the Howard Bookkeeping and Management Company . He was a representative of double-entry bookkeeping .
Awards
Howard was a Knight First Class of the Order of Albrecht , Carrier of the Iron Cross Second Class and Carrier of the House Order of Albert the Bear .
