Wilhelm Jebens

Albrecht Wilhelm Jebens (born September 17, 1830 in Danzig ; † November 13, 1907 in Charlottenburg ), doctor of law , was a Prussian lawyer and local politician .

Life

Jebens was promoted to appellate judge in 1866 and came to the Prussian Ministry of Commerce in Berlin in 1868 .

In 1873 he was appointed to the Secret Upper Government Council . Two years later, Jebens came to the newly established Higher Administrative Court . There he became President of the Senate and made a contribution to the expansion of Prussian administrative law .

The construction of the today Higher Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg used Prussian Higher Administrative Court goes back to Jebens' initiative.

When he retired in 1900, he was given the title of Real Secret Council with the predicate " Excellence ". Even as a pensioner he was still a city councilor and city ​​councilor in Charlottenburg .

Five years after his death on November 4, 1912 in Charlottenburg, the Jebensstraße (between Hardenbergstraße and Hertzallee at Bahnhof Zoo, in what is now the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district ) was named after him.
