Wilhelm Krieger (1914)

Wilhelm Krieger (born May 20, 1850 in Hildesheim , † December 6, 1928 in Detmold ) was a German economist and member of the Lippe state parliament .

Life

Wilhelm Krieger was the tenant of the dairy in Blomberg. From 1888 to 1908 he was a member of the Lippische agricultural and forestry trade association, 1908 to 1909 deputy chairman and from 1910 chairman of the cooperative board.

Krieger was also politically active. He was a councilor until 1918, a conservative member of the state parliament from 1884 to 1888, 1892 to 1896 and 1908 to 1918.

In September 1917, the right-wing German Fatherland Party was formed . In Lippe, the members consisted essentially of the same people as the Independent Committee for a German Peace , including the District Court President Otto Preuss , the biscuit manufacturer Wilhelm Pecher, Lord Mayor Robert Wittje and the District Councilor Krieger.

Wilhelm Krieger joined the newly founded DNVP and represented it in the Lippe state parliament after the elections in 1919 . He resigned his seat in the state parliament on February 14, 1928 ( Wilhelm Tölle succeeded him ) and died that same year.
