Wilhelm Lückert

Wilhelm Lückert (born February 4, 1905 in Treysa ; † May 6, 1970 in Tenerife , Spain ) was a German educator . He was best known for his commitment to the development of special schools in Hesse .

Life

Wilhelm Lückert completed an apprenticeship as an auxiliary school teacher in Halle . In 1925 Lückert passed his first teacher examination. From 1930 he worked as a journalist and from 1933 as a teacher at the elementary school Schillerstraße in Kassel . 1940–1956 he was rector at the Bürgererschule am Wall. In 1956 Lückert was appointed city administration school councilor in the city education office. In 1959 he was promoted to the high school board . Lückert set up a general special school in Kassel. He was the driving force behind the reorganization of the legal basis for special schools in Hesse.

Honors

The Wilhelm-Lückert-Schule (special educational advisory and support center) in the Kassel district of Wehlheiden and the Wilhelm-Lückert-Schule (school for learning aid) in Büdingen were named after Wilhelm Lückert . The Wilhelm Lückert School in Büdingen was affiliated with the Erich Kästner School in Ortenberg in 1984 . In Büdingen, a street and a sports hall at the Wolfgang-Ernst-Gymnasium are also named after Lückert.
