Wilhelm Ohlemeyer

Wilhelm Ohlemeyer (born December 24, 1914 in Hahlen ; † October 16, 2006 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Wilhelm Ohlemeyer was born in the then independent municipality of Hahlen. He worked as a carpenter and was a foreman in a company in Minden .

Political party

From 1946 until his death, Ohlemeyer was a member of the SPD in the Minden local association. In 1956 he was elected by the Minden local association as its chairman, and his deputy in this office was the future mayor Werner Pohle . Wilhelm Ohlemeyer, along with Werner Pohle, the cashier of the SPD local association Minden Max Ingberg and SPD parliamentary group leader Friedrich Schonhofen, was one of the defining personalities of Minden's social democracy in the 1950s and 1960s. In addition to his work at the local club level, Ohlemeyer was also a member of the executive boards of the SPD sub-district of Minden and the Eastern Westphalia district , as well as a member of the state committee of the SPD in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Wilhelm Ohlemeyer was chairman of the district administration of the trade union ÖTV in Minden-Lübbecke and chairman of the union's internal health sector.

Ohlemeyer was a member of the German Bundestag from June 14, 1965, when he replaced the retired MP Hans-Jürgen Pohlenz , until the end of the 1965 electoral term. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
