Wilhelm Rütter
Wilhelm Rütter (born February 18, 1812 in Issum , † November 25, 1887 in Kevelaer ) was an organ builder and worked mainly on the Lower Rhine , in the Duisburg area and in the Netherlands. He stuck to the organ building tradition of the 18th century, contrary to the trend of his time to imitate an orchestra with the organ.
Among other things, he built the organs in:
- the Kevelaerer candle chapel
- The Hague (H. Antonius and Lodewijk)
- Rotterdam (St. Anthony's Church)
- Düffelward (St. Mauritius)
- Hartefeld
- Ruhrort
- Issum - Sevelen
Some of these organs are still standing today.
