Wilhelm Rapp (lawyer)

Wilhelm Rapp (* 1942 ) is a German lawyer.

Wilhelm Rapp was President of the Hamburg Constitutional Court and the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (HansOLG) until April 2007 . In his farewell speech he addressed admonishing words to politicians, which in the course of his follow-up discussion had fueled disaffection with politics. Gerd Harder succeeds him at the constitutional court, and Erika Andreß at the HansOLG .

Since December 2007 he has been President of the Hamburg Regional Association of the German Red Cross .

Rapp is the recipient of the Emil von Sauer Prize and a member of the SPD . He has been involved in the Rotary Club Hamburg-Dammtor since 1988 .
