Helmut Plambeck

Helmut Plambeck (born August 5, 1929 in Hamburg ; † November 29, 2019 ) was a German judge .

Life

Helmut Plambeck studied law in Erlangen and Hamburg. In 1955 he was in Hamburg with a thesis on the principle of equality in criminal law for a doctor of law doctorate. In 1957 he entered the higher judicial service of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. He initially worked at the district and regional court in Hamburg. In 1977, he was appointed the presiding judge at the High Court and 1981 for the presiding judge at the Hamburg Higher Administrative Court and in the same year he was appointed President of the Administrative Court of Hamburg . From 1985 to 1994 he held the presidency of the Hamburg Constitutional Court and the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court .

Plambeck was President and later Honorary President of the German-British Lawyers Association from 1982 to 2002 . From 1982 to 1994 he was chairman of the board of the Hamburger Juristen eV
