Emil von Sauer Prize

The Hamburg Lawyers Association has been awarding the Emil von Sauer Prize ("Der saure Emil") since 1973 to outstanding legal personalities and institutions who have rendered outstanding services to the Hamburg and German legal system. The award refers to Emil von Sauer , the first president of the German Lawyers' Association after the Second World War .
