Wilhelm Upilio
Wilhelm Upilio (also Opilio , Scheffer [lein] ; born in Windsheim ; died 1594 ) was a doctor and professor of medicine.
Life
From 1572 he was a doctor in Kitzingen . In 1574 he became the city physician in Bad Neustadt an der Saale . Under Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn he became a hospital doctor at the Juliusspital in Würzburg. Schefferlein was also the director of the hospital. In 1582 Schefferlein was a founding member of the Medical Faculty of the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , which he headed as dean from 1591 .
His son was the doctor Christoph Upilio .
