Wilhelm Schröder (politician, 1908)

Wilhelm Schröder (born May 8, 1908 in Hoinkhausen , † September 27, 1971 in Münster ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Schröder completed an agricultural training course. He worked as a farmer until 1971 . Schröder was married and had one child.

He was a member of the district council of the former Lippstadt district from 1952 until his death on September 27, 1971. From November 10, 1956 to September 27, 1971, he was district administrator of the district. In the council of the municipality Hoinkhausen he was represented from 1948 to 1971. During this time he was mayor of the municipality. Schröder was also a member of the Rüthen Office .

From 1961 to 1964 he was a member of the landscape assembly of the regional association Westphalia-Lippe . He was also active in various committees of the District Council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

On September 6, 1968, Schröder was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class. Wilhelm-Schröder-Strasse was named after him in the Hoinkhausen district of the city of Rüthen.
