Wilhelm Stoeckl
Wilhelm Stöckl (born December 30, 1925 in Regensburg ; † July 11, 2006 there ) was a German SPD politician .
Career
Stöckl attended secondary school for six years, which he left without a degree due to the chaos of the Second World War . As a corporal in the Wehrmacht , he was deployed on the Eastern Front, where he was seriously wounded in 1944 and his right leg had to be amputated. After graduating from high school , he trained as a teacher and was later promoted to the city school council in Regensburg. In 1964 he joined the SPD. From 1976 to 1983 he was a member of the German Bundestag . He always entered the Bundestag via the Bavarian State List.
Since 1975 he has been a member of the ÖTV trade union .
